Well we had my daughter's 16th birthday yesterday; yes sh was born on the 13th. We had a little get together with a couple friends and family. It was a blast; we had a huge cake fight! (hahahaha) It got messy, just glad we had it outside. Then we a had a little camp fire in the front yard(we live in a rural area) and made Smores...hhmmmm Delicious! We had hot dogs, steak, chicken, cookies, chips and my daughter's famous macaroni salad! In fact, that macaroni salad was cleaned up in no time flat.(lol) 
   
   While she didn't get a lot of presents she never complained or scowled about it. It goes to show ya that having fun without breaking the bank is still possible. She really liked the cake fight. 

   
   After it got dark we watched some those meteors streaking across the sky by the fire. All in all this was great 16th Birthday! 

  As long as we all find the simple pleasures in life; we may find it a lot more bearable and of course FUN!! Family and freids definitely makes life a lot more entertaining!
