Let's Make A Poultice

A poultice is a very useful tool and home remedy that's been used for thousands of years by
people all over the world. They can be used for cuts, scrapes, burns, damaged muscles or
tendons and even on bones. There's no need damage your liver and kidneys with pills to
relieve the pain. Some White Willow mixed with your Comfrey poultice will work just as
well, usually even better.

Comfrey is known for its ability to heal a wide range of ailments, but for now our purpose is
as a poultice. Using a mortar and pestle, or anything that can crush, grind or chop; (no blender please)
add your herbs together. Example: Comfrey, White Willow and Golden Seal, then your liquid.
Mineral water, Olive Oil or Aloe Juice. I am talking about pure Aloe Juice not the sugary drink kind.
Slippery Elm can be added if you want to hold your poultice together better.

Add the liquid a small bit to bring it all together. Then you'll need your dressing. You can use clean
cotton fabric, cheese cloth, or gauze to apply your poultice to. When your ready apply your
poultice to your dressing. Be sure you have washed your wound area with clean water. Then apply
the poultice to the affected area and keep wrapped. You can use a wrap or make one if your wish.
The smaller the ailment the less time you will need to keep the poultice applied.
